as her house was lifted from the the ground, the earth around her where the people living near by shook her so hard her heart rattled painfully in her chest...she began to spin.

spinning & spinning in the twister...in the twister. higher. faster. rougher than ever. her head felt dizzy...eyes all a blur...but then suddenly she landed...she landed with a thump.

blinking her eyes...dusting the dirt from her checked little dress...she picked up her camera & reached for the door. turing the door nob slowly and gently...the door opened up with a rickety creek.

her eyes lit up, then sparkled as she grinned. the world outside was now colourful...beautiful. she stepped outside...looked down at the ground. and there she stood...no longer in dirt...but on a brick road...each brick painted yellow. she followed the road...just a little...& with each footstep...she noticed her shoes begin to transform. the black leather began to fall from her feet as little shiny rubys began to appear. left right left right. she picked up speed...and before she knew it she was skipping along...skipping with happiness in ruby shoes.

she followed the yellow brick road until...she spotted a scarecrow there in the fields. the scarecrow was silly...couldn't scare crows...but she loved him anyway...she loved him with all her heart. so along the yellow brick road she skipped...with the scarecrow holding her hand...beside her. she saw beauty in him...and the world around her...now that she'd fallen somewhere over the rainbow. she didn't want to leave...this was home now...it was here she wants to capture the world through her lens.

she placed her camera down on the yellow brick road & out stretched her arms...so warmly...so lovingly. toto trotted over & jumped into her lap, as the scarecrow sat beside her...his arm around her shoulder. she smiled as a tiny tear of happiness trickled slowly down her cheek. her heart felt warm & fuzzy again...her heart felt whole...mended...loved.

cuddling toto, snuggled close to the scarecrow...she gazed up into the distance as a ruby rainbow painted love in the sky. she aimd her camer...she clicked the button...the flash lit up the sky...captured ruby beauty.

ruby love pumped through her heart...there's no place like home she whispered...
